In 1959, lifelong friends Dale Wenum and Jim Bowers pooled their resources to form the Wenum-Bowers Construction Company in Akron, Ohio. They ran the business from their homes, accepting any and all jobs they could find, from repairing storm doors to installing roofs. In the mid-60's, however, when it became apparent that the business could not support two families, Jim Bowers bought out his partner and changed the company's name to J. Bowers Construction.

From those humble beginnings, J. Bowers Construction, Inc. grew steadily. Its focus has changed over the year, evolving from a general construction company to one specializing in disaster restoration. Today, under the direction of President Sean Bowers, J. Bowers Construction, Inc. - still family-owned and operated - is Northeast Ohio's leading disaster restoration firm. and has proudly served its clients for over 45 years.
